Brandan's work

Intel eCycleLand Cannes Winner

Cannes winning case study for Intel’s eCycleLand

QUESTION: If the earth is no longer capable of sustaining life, do we still need to do our timesheets?* Kidding aside - keeping myself, my family, friends and flora / fauna alive has always been a passion of mine. What I love about eCycleland is the way we shined a light on a massive problem in the world of recycling. Electronic waste. I bet you $5 you’ve got a drawer of old electronics you have no idea what to do with. eCycleLand makes an Animal Crossing analogy to this problem by way of the Rusted Part. A worthless piece of electronic trash that washes up all over the game. Gamifying a way to e-cycle rusted parts helped show people how easy it can be to e-cycle their own electronic junk IRL. And honestly, doing something about climate change at a scale I'd never reach on my own has always been a work/life goal. Working with a client that shares the same desire and wants to DO something about it; that’s a Brandan goal come true. The awards eCycleLand has won are great, but that was never the goal. Making ecycling electronics as easy and common as recycling your cans is, and we have our work cut out for us. But eCycleLand is a great start.

*yes. yes we do.
